Labor Day was created in the late 19th century as trade and union movements grew. The holiday first honored the American Labor movement with the first parade in New York city in 1887. Oregon was the first state to make it an official holiday. It has been many years since the first Monday in September was set set aside to celebrate Labor Day. Yes, there are still unions- we are seeing big changes in the way business is conducted, and more entrepreneurs than ever. Young Living has long played a role in helping people choose a healthier way to live and work. This leads us to another reason we celebrate this holiday- it is the last hurrah before school starts and marks the end of summer for many. So,before we shift seasons-we gather loved ones for an end of summer, picnic, BBQ or weekend at the cabin.
