An old farmer once told me...
" the gardening does not begin in the spring- it begins in the dark of winter. That is the time to plan and prepare for a good harvest."
That is true of everything in life isn't it? To create a successful harvest- first we need a Dream, it becomes a Goal when we write it down and make a plan. Once we have the Goal, the we need to have a specific set of Action steps that are SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time Bound.

We love to set up 90 Day Challenges for ourselves around SMART Goals. It is so important to get very specific about each step of the goal and have a way to measure the results.  be careful not to get caught in "pie in the sky" goals. Be realistic about what you think  you can accomplish within the time frame. Do, have a written plan that you review daily or often. Checking off those "to do" items feels  amazing!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step! One of the best steps our company has taken was to enlist the aide of a coach to help us to understand our individual styles.  This helped us to each utilize tools and goal strategies that worked for different team members. We found that some people like a paper calendar and post it notes, some prefer colored pencils and markers, pie charts, graphs. Still others like digital goals, spreadsheets and an electronic calendar with automated reminders.
